Here is a lovely Fulton 5272 (equivalent to Stanley No. 3). This plane was manufactured but Millers Falls for Sears, Roebuck and Co. under their Fulton brand name. Fulton planes were the premier line of “In House” planes sold by Sears until the Craftsman brand was introduced in the late 1920’s. The Fulton 5272 is based on the L. Bailey patent held by Stanley and reflects design characteristics of a Stanley Type 9 era plane.
This plane was gifted to my very talented nephew and can be seen on his bench amongst walnut shavings from his high chair project for his 5 month old son.
