    This drill was really in pretty fair condition and basically just required cleaning, a little rust removal and oiling.

      Hi Josh,

      How is the shop coming? Any Christmas projects in the works? I have looked the drill over pretty close and didn’t see any dates. Actually, the only other markings on it is “No 655”. Need another one? Happy holidays.

    Goodell-Pratt Co is my absolute favourite old tool company. Any tools I need, I look toward ebay and search “Goodell Pratt” as soon as I can. Solid tools. And being from Massachusetts, I’m mildly biased, and I can’t help but romanticize the work of fellow countrymen. But they really do work well in my experience.

    This drill looks like it’s in great condition. Nice find! I’d guess it’s from 1930, but as the owner of the drill, you can confirm some things I can’t from the pictures, that should help you know for sure.
