Today I’m giving away 4 copies of “Choosing, Refurbishing & Using Moulding Planes with Bill Anderson”!
The great news? Two of the copies (digital downloads) are reserved for my readers outside of the United States and Canada! Read about the Giveaway entry process below.
ABOUT THE MOULDING PLANES VIDEO
In the above video you’ll see a short preview of this video that I directed & filmed with hand tool expert, Bill Anderson, inside Roy Underhill’s The Woodwright’s School. The DVD covers nearly everything that you’ll need to know about (1) choosing antique moulding planes, whether at a store or from a farmer’s barn, (2) how to refurbish different parts of moulding planes, and (3) how to tune-up and use different types of moulding planes.
My favorite part of the DVD is learning how to layout both Ovolo and Ogee profiles, and then cutting them with hollows & rounds moulding planes. This is as traditional as you get, mate.
You can learn more about the video (and how to buy it) by clicking here.
HOW TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY
The giveaway rules are very simple. The giveaway is open to all my subscribers around the world (click here if you need to subscribe). Here’s what you need to do to enter:
(1) Visit my new forum at WoodAndShop.com/Forum, then start at least one new topic on any of the forum categories, and
(2) Reply to at least three different topics that have already been created by other people. Don’t worry…there’s a “how to” video on the forum.
Once you’ve completed these requirements, just click here to confirm your entry. Winners will be chosen via Random.org and announced July 22, 2015.
The video/DVD looks informative :) I am going to have to check that out!
Great Morbius!
Definitely on my shopping list!. I am currently busy with setting up a traditional 18th century wood shop here in Swellendam, South Africa at the Old Drotsdy Museum Trade Precinct. Have also recently completed four plane makers floats for the students.
So glad that someone from South Africa is on my site! I hope you enjoy watching the Moulding Plane video Bilbo!
This one is the best informative post. You describe clearly the tips with video. Starting to make a test.
